Kitchen and Serving Pieces
Serving bowls, dip bowls and the pantry pieces that go with them, from thirty-five dollars up to the large porcelain serving bowl at the top of the range.
The Vagabond House porcelain is the centre of it. The serving bowl with handles is cast in porcelain and finished with integrated handles, which sounds like a small detail until you are carrying a full bowl across a room. It is made to go from oven to table, and the finish is plain enough to sit with any table setting rather than only one. The dip bowl is the smaller companion piece, sized for olives, oil or a single serving, and it works in a set of two or three down the middle of a table.
The Flamingo Estate balsamic vinegar is the pantry piece. It is made from Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes harvested by hand in early autumn, and the juice, skins, seeds and stems are cooked together, which caramelises the sugars and gives the vinegar its depth. It is then fermented and aged in oak barrels over long seasons. The result is thick, silky and sweet rather than sharp, and it is the sort of vinegar worth using on its own rather than only in a dressing.
If you are putting a gift together from this collection, the balsamic and a dip bowl is a better present than either alone, and both arrive looking considered rather than practical.
Everything here is dishwasher safe unless the product page says otherwise, and the vinegar should be kept somewhere dark rather than next to the hob.
We keep the range in stock. If there is a particular piece you are looking for that you are not able to find on the website, reach out to us and we will be glad to help.
