Hello Kitty is the little white cat Sanrio first put on paper in 1974, drawn by Yuko Shimizu. Her official story gives her the name Kitty White and a home in the English suburbs, where she stands five apples tall. This collection gathers her and the friends who came after: My Melody, the rabbit in the red hood; Cinnamoroll, the curly tailed puppy; Kuromi, in her black jester hat; and Pompompurin, the golden retriever. Most of it is stationery, and most of it sits under twenty dollars.

The notebooks do most of the everyday work. The Agatha range from Studio Oh! has softcovers, 208 lined pages and artwork taken from the earliest Hello Kitty designs on the retro covers, and the extra large spiral notebook steps up to a hard cover with 160 pages and a sheet of reminder stickers inside.
