Flamingo Estate Candles and Body Care

Flamingo Estate is a botanical estate in California, and the range we carry covers their candles, soap bricks, vinegar and body care. Most of it sits between thirty-five and sixty-five dollars.

The candles are poured into vegetable wax with a cotton wick at eight ounces, which is what gives them a clean burn. The scents come from the estate's own garden rather than a fragrance library. Heirloom Tomato is the odd one and the best: crushed tomato leaves, freshly picked and rubbed between your hands. Tuscan Rosemary is fresh rosemary with crisp pine and herbal air. Adriatic Muscatel Sage takes their signature sage and blends it with rosemary and thyme for an herbaceous, camphor-heavy scent that clears a room. Jasmine Damask Rose is bright bergamot and damask rose warmed by peppercorn and creamy sandalwood.

The soap bricks are the other main piece. At twelve ounces they are far larger than a standard bar, and the jasmine one holds eight essential oils, which is what gives it layers rather than a single note. The sage bar is the same formula in their signature scent.

There is also the organic balsamic vinegar, made from hand-harvested Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes cooked with their skins and seeds, then fermented and aged in oak. It is thick and sweet rather than sharp, and it is the piece people come back for once they have tried it.

The bath and body range fills out the rest, including an activated charcoal bar. Everything is vegetable-based and rinses clean, and the packaging is designed to be given rather than thrown away.
