Original Art and Limited Edition Pieces
Original paintings and short-edition work for the wall. The range is deliberately small, because each piece is a single painting or a fixed edition rather than something held in depth, and everything here is bought outright rather than made to order.
Ron Giusti's acrylic paintings are the centre of it. Each is hand painted with heavy strokes of acrylic on canvas board, so the surface has real texture rather than a flat print finish, and each frame is finished by hand to look vintage with an aged patina. The original art is eight by eight inches, and the finished framed size is around eleven and a half inches square, which makes them easy to hang in a pair or in a row without crowding a wall. They come in large and mini sizes across the heart and orchid designs, and the green on green and orchid pink and cream are the two we are carrying at the moment.
There is also a limited edition run made with Spotty Horse, produced as an edition rather than one at a time, so the number available of each variation is fixed from the outset. That is the difference between the two parts of this collection: the Ron Giusti pieces are one-offs, and the Bunbury edition is a run.
If you are buying art as a gift, the useful thing to know is the scale. At eleven inches square these work on a narrow wall, above a desk, or in a hallway where a larger canvas would not fit. They also sit well in a group, which is how most people end up buying them.
Because these are original pieces, what is on the website is what is physically here. If you want to see a piece in person before deciding, both shops are open daily, and we are happy to send additional photographs of any painting before you buy.
We keep the range in stock as pieces come in. If there is a particular artist or size you are looking for that you are not able to find on the website, reach out to us and we will be glad to help.
