K-Wonderland Squishy
K-Wonderland Squishy
K-Wonderland makes the small squishies that sit at the front of the shop: slow-rising, soft to the point of being hard to put down, and priced from under ten dollars to just over eighteen. There are ten of them here, and each one is named after food.
The cheese cube is the largest and the most satisfying to squeeze. It is made from a shape-retaining material that stretches smoothly and returns to its original shape after every squeeze. Peanut mochi and cat bread are the two that get picked up first by children, both with the soft, slow-rebound texture that defines the range. Pocket Cat is the smallest and the one that fits in a pencil case, and it arrives in a mini clear pouch with coloured pom-poms.
Two pieces do something the others do not. The Magic Colour Mango Crunch changes colour with temperature, appearing green when it is cold and turning yellow as it warms in your hand. The Malrang Zenzen is a limited collaboration edition that can be pinched and moulded into shapes, and it holds whatever shape you leave it in until you reshape it.
There is also a blind box, the Yum Yum Bread series, where each box holds one surprise design from steamed buns and croissants to burgers. Then there is the peach crunch, the butter stress ball and the crunchy soap squishy, which makes a sound as it compresses.
What they share is the way they behave. These are not bouncing balls. They compress slowly and return slowly, which is what makes them work as a fidget rather than a toy you throw. That slow rebound is also why they hold up to being squeezed for months rather than minutes, and why an inexpensive squishy can outlast a much more expensive gadget.
They are cheap enough to buy two and keep one, and small enough to post in an envelope. If you are buying for a child, the larger ones are easier to hold; for a teenager, the pocket sizes are the ones that disappear into bags. Collectors tend to work through the whole set, which is only ten pieces, and they sit alongside the wider range in squishy and NeeDoh.
We keep the range in stock, and new designs arrive as K-Wonderland releases them. If there is a particular squishy you are looking for that you are not able to find on the website, reach out to us and we will be glad to help.
