Assorted Vintage Stamps
A pack of thirty-five assorted vintage stamps, collected from old post and sold as a single bundle. They arrive in a glassine envelope with our branding on it, and they are unused, which means they can still be used for postage as well as for decoration.
Each pack is different. They are sorted by hand from what is available rather than assembled to a fixed list, so no two bundles contain the same mix. What you can expect is a spread of sizes, colours and ages rather than a theme: small definitives, larger commemoratives, and a range of subjects drawn from across the collection we keep in the shop.
The practical appeal, which pairs with the stationery sets, is that a stamp does two jobs at once. On an envelope it carries the letter and finishes it, which matters more than it sounds when everything else about mail is now plain white. In a journal or a scrapbook they work as collage material, and they sit flat enough to paste without adding bulk to a page. They are also used for framing, where a group of them fills a small frame without the cost of a print.
Because they are genuine vintage stamps rather than reproductions, the printing method, the perforations and the paper all vary between them. That variation is the point, and it is why the bundle works better as a mixed pack than as a set of identical pieces.
At forty-two dollars for thirty-five stamps they are one of the better value things we carry, particularly if you send mail regularly or keep a journal.
