Home Décor, Vases and Candles

Pieces for a table, a shelf and a windowsill, from a fifteen dollar porcelain jar up to the large Helle Mardahl glass. Most of it sits between forty and ninety dollars.

The blue and white porcelain is the strongest group. It comes from Cobalt Guild, who buy from the antiques markets of Jingdezhen, the town that supplied porcelain to the imperial court for centuries. The mini round jars sit around twenty dollars and carry traditional patterns: Peony, Bird and Flower, Three Friends, Double Happiness and Landscape. Several of those motifs mean something rather than simply decorate. Three Friends is bamboo, plum and pine, the plants that survive winter. The larger lidded jars and the cachepots run up from there, and most are hand painted and wheel thrown, which is why the glaze varies between pieces.

The Haws Fazeley Flow is the piece this collection is known for, and the copper one is the version people ask for. It pours a direct stream rather than a spray, which is what makes it accurate for houseplants. The Classic Jug in cream or graphite is its larger companion.

Glassware covers the bar and the table. Hospitality Glass supplies the cut mixing glasses and the stackable whisky decanter and tumbler set, and Vagabond House adds pewter pieces like the squirrel candle snuffer.

The smaller objects fill out the shelves. Our own silk keepsake ornaments and Julie Collings' velvet pieces, Elena Medina's paper mache, and the acrylic trays and notepads in tortoiseshell and scalloped finishes.

If you are furnishing one room rather than buying a single piece, porcelain, glass and one candle cover most of it.

We keep the range in stock. If there is a particular piece or pattern you are looking for that you are not able to find on the website, reach out to us and we will be glad to help.
